From ALETA kids
We created this toy to introduce your children to the art of counting and to fully develop their mathematical mind and coordination, concentration and independence.
By age four children are ready to learn numbers and concepts like addition and subtraction, quantities, measures, proportions, comparisons (smaller than, bigger than, longer than…) sequences and progressions. All these concepts can be practiced with this toy, that can as well be used as blocks, a puzzle and a lacing toy to develop their fine motor skills.
Children are exposed to math from a very early age with common questions such as “How old are you?”. Let’s help them feel attracted to the science of numbers in a fun way!
We use beautifully sanded European beechwood with our toys to ensure they are safe for children. We do not use burnishes because we love the patina the toy acquires over time, but you could apply any natural oil or beeswax from time to time if a more standard finish is desired. Please note wood have different hues so sometimes the color may differ slightly from the one on the image.
The toy is composed of 11 pieces of 60mm (2.36'') width, 9mm (0.35'') thickness and heights from 10mm (0.39'') to 100mm (3.93''). It comes with two cotton laces, one yard long (90cm) in natural color. The whole set is conveniently packed in a cotton bag for easy carrying.
